At Sol Tallow, we handcraft pure, nourishing beef tallow lotions in small batches, using only the highest-quality, consciously sourced ingredients. Whether you’re new to tallow or a long-time fan, we want your shopping experience to be simple, transparent, and worry-free. Here are some answers to our most commonly asked questions.

How long does shipping take?

We ship our 2 oz jars in bubble wrap and a protective box to ensure safe arrival to you. Orders typically ship within 2–4 business days. Once shipped, delivery time depends on your location — usually 3–7 business days within the U.S. Tracking information will be provided.

Where do you get your tallow from?

We source our tallow for Sol Tallow from small, family-run farms, all committed to grass-fed, pasture-raised, and regenerative practices. Our Organic Grass-Fed Tallow is certified and processed in certified facilities.

All of our tallow is dry-rendered at low heat, a traditional method that gently preserves the natural nutrients, fatty acids, and fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K). Unlike wet rendering, which can strip away valuable compounds or leave a waxy residue, dry rendering maintains the purity, clean aroma, and silky texture that make Sol Tallow deeply nourishing for the skin.

Can I buy in person?

Currently Sol Tallow jars are being sold at The Source Cafe, in Hermosa Beach. Follow us on instagram for pop up events that Sol Tallow will be sold at as well.

Is tallow safe for sensitive skin?

Absolutely. Tallow is gentle and suitable for most skin types, but we always recommend doing a small patch test if you have concerns.

How do you store Sol Tallow?

Store in a cool dry place for up to 6 months. After that your tallow will last for 1 year in the fridge which will extend shelf life. Tallow very easy to travel with as it is a 2 oz jar and can be thrown in your carry on, bag or suitcase.

How do you use Sol Tallow?

Scoop a small amount with clean hands and warm it between your fingertips. Gently massage into your face or anywhere on your body—morning or night, whenever your skin needs extra love. A little goes a long way, and it’s especially supportive for scars and stretch marks.

Can I use Sol Tallow on my face?

Absolutely! I especially love it as a daily face moisturizer, and it’s deeply nourishing for dry or mature skin. Just use a small amount and massage it in gently for a radiant, healthy glow.
